Administrators can use the Import Records tool to bulk update multiple department fields at once.
1. From your Certify homepage, navigate to the System Configuration screen by clicking the gear icon in the top right corner.
2. In the Certify Tools section, select Import Records.
3. Select Departments from the drop-down menu.
4. Click Next.
5. Paste the header values from the text box into spreadsheet software, fill in the necessary information, and re-paste the updated values line by line into the text box provided.
6. Users with departments already active in our system can click Populate to fill in any active departments in the system into the provided textbox.
Any new departments will still need to be copied and pasted into the textbox.
7. Values from ‘Suppress Billable’ onward need to be populated with ‘TRUE’ or ‘FALSE’ as seen below:
Indicating a value of ‘TRUE’ for the Inactive field will result in a deactivated department. Most users will not find this of use.
8. Click Next to finish importing your Departments.
