EXPENSE
Hotel Folio
Deployment Schedule: Available as an additional service for Emburse Professional customers as of October 15, 2026.
Hotel Folio automates the extraction and splitting of hotel receipts regardless of how they are submitted. By combining Emburse AI and OCR, it adapts to different templates, formats, and languages to deliver fast, consistent results across mobile, email, and web. For employees, that means quicker reimbursements. For finance teams, that means accurate data and less manual cleanup.
When Hotel Folio is enabled, hotel receipts split into line items as soon as they are added to an expense report, saving several minutes of manual coding. Room rates, state and local lodging taxes, room service, parking, entertainment, and incidental fees are automatically split and auto-categorized to your organization’s expense categories.

Emburse Assurance - Insufficient Proof of Payment
Deployment Schedule: Available to all customers subscribed to Emburse Assurance as of October 9, 2026.
The Insufficient Proof of Payment Assurance rule scans each receipt and looks for evidence that a transaction occurred. A receipt may look legitimate at first glance but not show that a card was used to pay the bill or that cash was exchanged.
The rule also identifies hotel confirmations, which provide an estimate of costs but are not evidence that a transaction occurred. Configure the rule to flag expenses prior to expense submission or post-submission, depending on your organization’s preference.

Submitted Date Added to Expense Report Folder
Deployment Schedule: Available to all customers on October 21, 2026.
The expense report submitted date has been added to the expense reports folder on the Pending Approval, Pending Payment, and Archived tabs. This column replaces the Expense Report End Date column.
