Features
ADMIN
Conditional Approval Levels with Department and GLD Based Approval
Deployment Schedule: Available to all customers on August 3, 2026.
Organizations may now configure conditional approval levels that apply when an expense is allocated to a specific department, cost center, expense category, client, project, entity, subsidiary, or other custom field.
Conditional approval can be configured for any of the following fields:
- Departments
- Employee General Ledger Dimensions
- Expense General Ledger Dimensions
- Expense Categories
When configured, conditional approvers only receive a report for approval if the report contains a Department, GLD, or Category value for which they are designated as the approver.
An optional line item approval setting ensures that the conditional approver only sees and approves the expenses allocated to their budget, department, or project. Lines not allocated to the approver's department, GLD, or category value are hidden.
Some organizations may be leveraging older versions of GLD approval functionality and will not see the described enhancements in their configuration portal. Contact Support for assistance upgrading to the new version of conditional approval.

Emburse Assurance Risk Scores and Feedback Mechanism
Deployment Schedule: Available to all customers using Emburse Assurance on July 31, 2026.
When an expense is flagged by a policy violation or Emburse Assurance audit check, approvers need clear context to review the expense and keep approvals moving. Emburse Assurance audit checks now provide additional data points to support faster, more informed approval decisions and speed up reconciliation.
Approvers from organizations using Emburse Assurance now see a More Details link on any expense flagged by Emburse Assurance. Selecting the link provides additional context, including:
- Risk Score: Each alert is categorized as Low, Medium, or High risk, encouraging closer review of the highest-risk expenses.
- Enhanced Reasoning: Each alert provides specific reasoning for why the expense was flagged by the Assurance rule.
- Feedback Mechanism: Each approver can share feedback using the thumbs up and thumbs down icons. Feedback helps identify false positive alerts and improve Emburse Assurance accuracy.
