Deployment Schedule: v3.3.1 will be available in the iOS and Android app stores on Wednesday, August 27. Users who subscribe to automatic app updates will receive the update within 7 days. Users who do not subscribe to auto-updates, or who wish to download the new version immediately, may do so by searching for the Emburse Professional app in their app store and selecting Update.

Receipts are detected automatically when the camera opens, reducing the chance of missed or partial images. As soon as the camera opens, Emburse Mobile scans the photo, identifies the receipt, and captures it. This reduces the chance of missed or partial receipts and saves time by eliminating retakes.
Auto-Cropping
Captured receipts are cropped automatically to remove background clutter, ensuring that only the receipt is kept in the frame. Employees get higher-quality receipts without extra effort, while finance teams benefit from cleaner records that improve OCR accuracy and reduce downstream errors. Users can still manually adjust the crop if needed.
Distortion Correction and Legibility
Photos of receipts are straightened and cleaned up automatically, even when captured at awkward angles. Employees can quickly snap and move on without worrying about clarity. At the same time, finance teams receive sharper, more readable images that improve data capture accuracy, speeding up reconciliation and reducing exceptions.
