Generating an API Key and Secret
An API Key and Secret are used to access the Emburse Professional API, and function like a username and password. This article shows you, an Emburse Professional Administrator, how to generate an API Key.
- After clicking the gear icon, click Manage Emburse Professional API Keys.
- The API configuration page opens. Click the Create New Credentials button to generate a new set of API credentials.
- A box will appear with an API Key. Click Generate New Secret to reveal the new secret in text form.
After the secret is generated it will not be visible again and, if lost, you must generate a new secret.
